These are just some photos of food that I just had, I applied grape jelly and honey to some cornbread to get an interesting flavor.

PSAT and Five dollers.

Today I took the PSAT, and then went to get lunch. So I go to Ming's Great Wall and get in line. Shortly after I enter the queue a man comes in and gets behind me, seeing my binder. A couple seconds after that we have a short conversation.

German Alcohol and Norwegin Chanting

Not much has been going on, but when looking for resources for a communications I came across some interesting resources.

first off is an interesting German musician who releases his works under the Creative Commons non-commercial licence. Most of his songs are about (Hopefully) unlikely romances, but I like his style, and since the songs are in a language I don't understand the content dosen't phase me that much. It's certainly worth a look.

If you are into Internet Radio and classical music than I also recommend the Norwegian station NRK Alltid Klassisk, which can be found as a streming MP3 here.

New Sponsors, and Orginizing

Announcing my new Sponsors!
Shirlee Jo And Dave L. Thomas
who have donated Via a check in the mail, along with a birthday card!
Thank You Shirlee and Dave!

Right now I am in the process of organizing many of my families photos into one, easily distributable, backup-able, and usable collection. Finding a solution that works just right is harder than it seemed but my trial and error will not go to waste. After I am done doing some organizing in the real world (much needed, maybe I should write an article on this too!), I will certainly write about the many ways that you can organize your photographs in ways that not only make finding the pictures you want simpler, but also add information and context.

It recently occurred to me that some of you might not have a very fast Internet connection, and my blog might take a long time to load. So I have been making some improvements. When an article contains Images, Videos, or a lot of text, I will insert a link in the bottom left hand corner of an article that says Read More.
Try it now!

A Little Treat

The Hiatus Continues! Will it ever end? Yes! When? Who Knows!

In the mean time, Here is a sneak peek on what I've been working on.(Besides School!)

Sunday, September 12, 2010

Sorry, Parties, Sorry, and Findlay

Sorry for the Hiatus! I have been very busy with school and other duties, but I have though about this blog each day, yet I feel no content is better than filler. To day, However, was a very eventful day.

Before we begin Todays story, please check out todays bike path.

So, for some time I have wanted dearly to photograph Findlay and make a sort of "Findlay Guidebook", A compendium of the Stores, History, and Activities that one can do in Findlay. Riding my bike around Findlay to take photographs of has been a significant time user next to AFS and school. Today, however, my bicycles Derailer has started to act erratically about halfway through my ride so now that project is on hiatus.

The Fair, Fish, and Handlebars

It is a little tradition in our family to get fried cheese at our annual county fair from a particular stall, since the quality is never bad. However we found that a steep entrance fee left us with four out of five dollars needed to buy the fried cheese. In search of a ATM that would accept a failing credit-card (We found none) we passed through the merchants and crafts buildings. Surprisingly the carving "An alien from Avatar carved in a stump of wood" seemed to wow the judges. I think the piece "Kitten wearing a hat carved into a log" was much cuter, but what do I know about etching images into a logs?

Levi's Wedding Recption, Fire Hydrents, and 400 Bucks

Before I go on, I won a $400 AFS scholarship for my family's previous work with AFS! This is relatively small compared to my total goals, yet is a very significant, and much appreciated amount.

Thursday, September 2, 2010

It's been dry for a while now, but it should rain soon. I hope it won't stop me from visiting the Fair! Speaking of the weather, in AP European History we briefly touched upon why Canada is as cold as it is and Europe is relatively warm (For the same latitude). Turns out we get polar water and that pushes warm water up, towards Europe! Crazy huh?

Personal Notes: Hancock County

Houcktown is a small hamlet located just outside of Findlay. It is administered by Findlay, Arlington, and Mount Blanchard. Instead of joint administration, it is partitioned into thirds and city addresses are dedicated to the partition the occupy. Houcktown is the home of William "Dummy" Hoy, a baseball player famous for being mute.
