Dia de los Muertos and French Onion Soup

Yeasterday we celebrated the Mexican holiday Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) at school.

The party was held in the hallway outside the library, and a speech was given about how Mexicans celebrate the day of the dead.
(Some families chose to celebrate by going to a graveyard and spending the night at a relatives grave. Way more creepy then our Halloween if you ask me.)

After that we ate food, talked, and did stupid stuff (Somebody chugged about a liter of Mexican soda). After that we broke a generic piñata above a recyleing bin and then dove in the trash once the candy on the floor that had missed ran out. Good times.

French Onion Soup

Also I had some delicious French onion soup that grandma made. Since she did not have any French bread, she substituted with Italian bread witch provided the soup with a unique character since the bread almost evenly dispersed throughout the soup.
